VLT measures the average light passing through a lens. The lower the number, the less light gets through (darker). 18% is about average for sunglasses but not average for M7 because we use notch filtering. That means we can filter selectively, taking out more harsh light and letting more good light through. Our VLT 18% lenses are brighter than other companies' yet you experience less fatigue.
