A different approach to optics

We believe most sunglasses are too dark, overly polarized, and primarily about fashion. They make you squint less, maybe, but they don't help you see better.

We've accepted the major brands' offerings as their best effort. We wear our shades, everything looks darker, and we think that's acceptable. Pilots have been using non-polarized lenses for years. Those company's tout the absence of polarizing as a feature, without anything else to offer, accept maybe a bendy frame. In some cases, they are worse than using nothing at all.

Our technology is different.

We learned how to filter light with such precision, we can knock out a specific wavelength (color/energy) completely. Conversely, we know how to enhance a wavelength, like the specific red warning light in the cockpit of an 373 jet, and make an ipad screen come to life.

We study your environment, as pilots, as ultra trail runners, and those working under artificial agricultural lights. Then we design a lens just for YOU and those conditions. One size doesn't fit all. We even studied the urban environment, the life patterns most of "live" when we aren't in the extreme niche of flying west into the sun, or running the Moab 240 for 33 hours straight, or working the harvest all weekend. This is our LIFE lens, that cuts heat radiating off sidewalks, slightly warms up the cold city landscape, and has just enough polarizing to cut glare off cars, yet enhances contrast so your world is a "3D" as possible. Our lenses filter so well, they don't need to be dark to be amazing. Therefore, you can wear them in the car, to the beach, into the cafe' - always enhanced and protected, never take them off.

Our Secrete Sauce: We mastered Notch Filtering - it's noise canceling for your eyes.

Our first challenge in 2010 was balancing light under High Pressure Sodium (HPS) lights for indoor agriculture. Collaborating with German chemists and optical physicists, we combined over 11 rare earth elements (including neodymium and praseodymium) into molten crystal to create our first lens. This remarkable lens not only balanced color under HPS lights but also filtered out infrared and UV rays, enhanced contrast, and provided superior vision. Next, we made specific lenses for all type of unique grow lighting. We changed the industry forever.

Next, discovered that similar science was used in World War II German fighter jet cockpit windscreens to protect pilots, enhance contrast, and reduce heat. Inspired, we set out to create a superior pilot lens, the SKY lens, different and better than anything in the past 50 years. We produced it in three levels of darkness to meet the specific needs of pilots flying various aircraft in real-world conditions.
