The best thing I ever did was leave my old Big brand glasses in a pilot lounge. I just got my new patriot glasses and they were love at first sight. When I put them on they feel like they disappeared
Vision Above All
Precision optics designed specifically for aviators. Our top-of-the-line lenses feature notch filtering technology for contrast, clarity, and performance that is second to none. Each lens option utilizes special thin-film coating technologies to dial in specific amounts of visible light (VLT) suited to pilot preferences and light levels for typical routes.
SKY lenses are Method Seven’s original top-of-the-line pilot lenses, crafted from German glass. SKY technology combines eleven elements, including rare-earth neodymium, molecularly bonded within a crystalline lens. Thirteen proprietary coatings block harmful UV and infrared heat while providing unmatched color and clarity. If you’re looking for the absolute best in performance, nothing beats glass.
The Patriot is Method Seven's newest stealth performance frame, designed specifically for The Patriots Jet Team. Titanium alloy construction features Japanese hand tooling and seamlessly conforms to your face. Lightweight, strong, and flexible, the Patriot is headset and flight helmet compatible, offering exceptional peripheral vision in a sleek wraparound design.
Designed for The Patriots Jet Team
As promised, the patriot 18% are unbelievably clear. They relax your eyes. I also bought them to fly open cockpit, a Stearman so wind protection is perfect as well.
Got my Patriots today and from the moment I put them on, I loved them! So lightweight and comfortable, I don't notice them. Love the clarity! Definitely recommend!
I currently own several pairs of Method Seven eyewear. The Patriot frames are my favorite. Their titanium alloy construction is very lightweight and the Sky glass lenses offer clarity and UV protection second to none. These glasses are perfectly suited for pilots and divers. I currently race Porsches professionally and find that Method Seven eyewear cuts the glare better than any other eyewear on the market.
I am a professional helicopter pilot and purchased these last year after significant aviation sun-glass product research and review. These glasses are outstanding in every way; quality, clarity, craftsmanship, etc. The notch filtering vs polarization makes it easy to view modern glass cockpits without any sacrifice in visual acuity. I wear these 8+ hours a day and will not be with out them again in the cockpit!!!
From the moment I put them on they fit and felt good. They do a great job at blocking the sun and giving you the ability to see gauges and instruments also. Very happy with this product. Thanks
Very comfortable, lightweight and high quality glass, that allows you to see the digital displays in the cockpit and protect your eyes at the same time.
Great set of optics. Very comfortable and super clear. Great for driving, flying, and shooting. So comfortable I’m wearing them as you read this.
Excellent glasses, exactly as advertised. Best optics of any I've used, good fit, lightweight. Highly recommended.
The amount of light that reaches your eyes through your lenses is called Visible Light Transmission (VLT). When deciding which kind of lenses to purchase, a good place to start is with the VLT. The higher the percentage of VLT, the lighter the lens tint, and therefore, the more light the lens will let through to the eye. Alternatively, lenses with a lower VLT percentage will have a darker tint and will block more light from coming through to the eye.
Our darkest offerings, the SKY9 and FLT9, transmit 9% VLT of available light. Yet you can still render your flight deck--or your iPad--in sharp detail. Perfect for flying west, chasing the sun or in very exposed cockpits.
The FLT15 and SKY18 Lens transmit 15% and 18% of available light, respectively. These medium-tint lenses are a great choice for general and mixed conditions.
For darker cockpits and pilots whose eyes require more light, the SKY30 and FLT 24 lenses allow for high levels of light transmission with unparalleled comfort and protection. Pilots who typically don’t wear or frequently take off their sunglasses during flight find that these lenses can stay on all day, in all conditions, even on the jetway.
