We’re thrilled to share that Method Seven was recently featured in WINGS Magazine's Top 10 Pilot Tools as an innovator in aviation optics. Here’s what Phil Lightstone, a freelance aviation journalist, had to say about our products:

“Method Seven, founded in 2010, invented its first optics for the indoor grow rooms in California. The company then transferred its optical science for fighter pilots, introducing ‘noise canceling technology for your eyes’ using rare earth elements and nuanced filtering to separate signal from noise.”

We’ve spent years perfecting lenses that provide unparalleled clarity and comfort, making us a go-to choice for pilots. As WINGS highlighted, we now offer 18 models tailored specifically for aviators. From clip-ons to prescription lenses, our eyewear meets a variety of needs.

Among our latest innovations is the Interceptor frame, which WINGS described as our “first fully TR90 thermoplastic frame. TR90 is durable, flexible, incredibly lightweight and is known for being hypoallergenic, perfect for people sensitive to metal frames.” This frame features thin bayonet temples for comfort under headsets, rubberized nose pads to prevent slippage, and a design that fits most face shapes while ensuring compatibility with oxygen equipment.

The Interceptor comes in matte black or the bold translucent orange 1Moment Edition. About the lens, WINGS wrote: “The FLT18 lens provides non-polarized glare reduction and has a neutral gray base with blue flash mirror coating. The FLT18 lens has 13 proprietary coatings, including anti-reflective and anti-fog.” These features enhance clarity, contrast, and color balancing while offering UV protection and HEV filtering—perfect for cockpit conditions.

We’re proud to see our products recognized for their unique ability to protect and enhance pilots’ vision. As WINGS mentioned, “Method Seven non-polarized lenses do not distort or conflict with the use of electronic flight instruments or electronics like iPads.”

Whether you’re flying at high altitudes or tackling glare in the cockpit, our sunglasses are designed to meet the challenge. Discover the difference Method Seven can make on your next flight by exploring our collection today.
