The Citadel FX, your fortress for the LED grow room.

  • ANSI Z87+ Certified: Proven protection from impact and projectiles.
  • Multi-layered Lens Coatings: Infrared Reduction & Anti-Reflection, create a crystal clear, perfect color experience.
  • Full-Coverage Design: Subtle wrap shields your sides without sacrificing style.
  • Strong-Comfort Fit: A slightly wider frame coupled with rubber grip nose pads, lock it in place. Making it the ideal fit for an average to large head.

Lens Technology

Method Seven grow room optics are designed using notch filtering technology to precisely block specific wavelengths of light to achieve color balance for each type of grow light. Then we trick them out using many different types of coatings across the various lens spectrums. A few examples include resin repel, anti-reflective, anti-fog, and petrol mirror for the absolute best clarity and durability.

Grow Lens Technology plus minus

We use notch filtering to selectively and precisely block specific wavelengths of light energy to achieve a color balance for each specific type of grow light (HPS, LED). This provides perfect color, full protection, and comfort. We also use anti-reflective and hydrophobic coatings for the best clarity and durability. Choose your lens based on the light spectrum you are working under.

FX Classic Lens Technology plus minus

Developed in collaboration with Carl Zeiss Laboratories, ophthalmologists, optical physicists, and electrical engineers, FX Classic lens technology is engineered specifically for full spectrum LED and CMH/LEC grow lighting environments. Crafted from durable, impact resistant Zeiss polycarbonate, these lenses provide protection under intense grow lights while maintaining exceptional optical clarity. An anti reflective coating reduces glare, while infrared reduction helps minimize heat exposure and eye discomfort. With 20% visible light transmission, FX Classic delivers a carefully balanced level of light reduction and visibility, allowing growers to see deep into the canopy without constantly removing their eyewear. The lenses also feature a decentered design for improved optical performance and have passed drop ball impact testing.

Frame Technology

Our Grow frames are designed in California and made in Italy with thermo-injected TR90 polymers. These materials can withstand the heat and professional rigors of the home basement grow or the biggest commercial facilities.

The Citadel plus minus

Safety Never Looked This Good

Meet the Citadel, your fortress for the grow room.

* ANSI Z87+ Certified: Proven protection from impact and projectiles.
* Full-Coverage Design: Subtle wrap shields your sides without sacrificing style.
* Crystal-Clear Vision: Oversized lenses provide a bold and unobstructed view.
* Built Tough: Made in Italy from injected polymer to handle the harshest conditions.
* M7 lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Rock solid. Crystal clear. Confidence you can count on.

TR90 plus minus

TR90 is an advanced thermoplastic material engineered for lightweight strength, flexibility, and durability. Its resilient construction allows frames to flex under pressure while retaining their shape, providing a comfortable and secure fit. Resistant to corrosion and everyday wear, TR90 is particularly well suited for aviation, active environments, and extended use.

Method Seven Grow

We invented Grow Room glasses in 2009. Our founder, Jeff Goldberg, was a photographer for High Times Magazine and managed several successful grow rooms. He struggled to get good shots of his plants under High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) lights because everything appeared washed out in yellow. Inspired by neodymium glass-blowing goggles, he wondered if he could create a lens to balance HPS light.

After a few years of research and collaboration with a German optical chemist, we nailed it. It took rare earth elements to perfectly balance the HPS light. Along the way, we discovered we were also blocking infrared heat and all dangerous UV rays—bonus!

That's also how we got our name. Seven steps in the scientific method combined with rare earth elements to make a lens unlike any other in existence. And so, Method Seven was born. We've kept developing specific lenses for every type of grow light, including our latest master project, the FX2, for use with full spectrum LED lights. The lights keep evolving, and we continue to innovate to ensure our customers are safe and produce the best harvests possible. And yes, many of our crew still grow. Thanks, Jeff.
