Sunglasses designed specifically for female pilots. SKY mineral glass lenses define the pinnacle of contrast and clarity. The SKY18™ has a medium VLT of 18%, making it a perfect choice for mixed conditions.

Lens Technology

Method Seven develops advanced, non-polarized optical technology specifically for the visual demands of aviation. Our proprietary notch filtering selectively reduces harsh wavelengths of light while preserving useful visual information, enhancing contrast, clarity, and natural color perception. Engineered to provide full UV protection without the electronic display visibility issues associated with polarized lenses, Method Seven optics help pilots maintain a clear view of instruments, aircraft windows, and the surrounding environment.

SKY Lens Technology plus minus

SKY lenses represent Method Seven's original mineral glass aviation technology, combining exceptional optical clarity with advanced notch filtering. Crafted from premium German glass incorporating eleven elements, including rare-earth neodymium, the lenses feature thirteen proprietary coatings engineered to manage intense sunlight, reduce glare, and provide UV and infrared protection. Precision manufacturing and the inherent scratch resistance of mineral glass deliver lasting optical clarity, while carefully controlled light transmission enhances contrast and color perception in demanding flight conditions.

18% Visible Light Transmission plus minus

At 18% Visible Light Transmission (VLT), Method Seven lenses provide a versatile tint for a broad range of daytime flying conditions, from overcast skies to bright sunshine. Advanced notch filtering selectively reduces harsh light while preserving useful visual information, natural color perception, and contrast. This balanced light transmission makes 18% VLT a practical choice for pilots flying in varied weather, lighting conditions, and aircraft.

Frame Technology

Method Seven Pilot frames are engineered for the specific demands of aviation, combining lightweight materials, flexibility, durability, and a secure fit. Our headset-compatible designs feature ultra-thin temples that minimize pressure, help maintain headset seals, and reduce interference with flight helmets and oxygen equipment. Developed and tested with professional and general aviation pilots, each frame is purpose-built for comfort, stability, and clear communication during flight.

The Aviatrix plus minus

Designed specifically for women pilots, the Aviatrix combines classic aviator styling with lightweight, hand-tooled titanium construction. Its slim profile and tangle-free nose pads provide a comfortable fit without catching in longer hair, while thin temples accommodate aviation headsets and flight helmets. Particularly well suited for narrower faces, the Aviatrix is trusted by professional air racers, including Vicky Benzing, for its secure fit and dependable comfort.

Frame size: 57–15–140 mm | Lens height: 40 mm | Base curve: 6 | Weight: 17.5 g FLT / 26.5 g SKY

Titanium Frame Technology plus minus

Method Seven titanium frames are hand-tooled for strength, flexibility, and lasting durability. Lightweight and naturally corrosion-resistant, titanium provides a comfortable fit while standing up to the demands of frequent flying. Its hypoallergenic properties make it suitable for extended wear, while precisely engineered temples flex to accommodate aviation headsets and flight helmets without unnecessary pressure.

Excellent

"I bought these for driving after having bought and loved the Huntress. They are the same flattering style and just as lightweight. Excellent clarity. Both these pairs of sunglasses have become my favorites - the Huntress for trail running, and the Aviatrix for driving."

I like the glasses. They

"I like the glasses. They do not fit as tight as I would like and I should have gotten the darker pair, but that was my choice. I am happy with this product."

— Diane C. (4/5)

Incredible eye wear!

Aviatrix sunglasses

"These sunglasses are outstanding. They reduce the sun glare but still make it possible to clearly read the panel! The way haze is reduced is unbelievable!! My only complaint (which is why I am giving 4 stars not 5) is that the nose pieces press on the sides of my narrow nose and after after about an hour of wearing them, the sides of my nose are sore. I will try adding felt nose pads to see if that corrects the problem."

— Susan F. (4/5)
