TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK - Crafted with ultra lightweight Japanese titanium, the Huntress trail running sunglasses feature slip-free temple tips and nose pads designed for movement. Our custom-formulated TRAIL 26 polycarbonate lenses are sleek and durable with a 26% VLT.

Lens Technology

The Trail 26 lens is an engineering marvel. It features deep notch filtering and partial polarization (the first of its kind) to maximize the reflected light 2-10 feet in front of you. This means we didn't design it for pretty sunsets or sailing—this is a niche lens for rendering roots, dirt, rocks, stream crossings, and steep technical descents. Featuring anti-reflective and hydrophobic coatings and full UV filtering, this lens is durable, lightweight, and designed for your trail adventures.

TRAIL Lens Technology plus minus

Designed for the Runner's Cockpit, the 8-10 feet in front of you as you hike, bike, or run on trails. The lens is super bright, provides detailed contrast, and filters so well that you can use it from dawn to dusk, in the trees, or on snowy peaks. It's remarkable new technology, including a 40% polarizing that blocks glare but doesn't crush contrast. Finally, a lens you can bomb down technical descents and not trip.

26% Visible Light Transmission plus minus

VLT measures the average light passing through a lens. The lower the number, the less light gets through (darker). Average lenses are 18% VLT, so our 26% VLT is on the lighter side. But remember, VLT is an average. We use notch flitering, so our lenses can have a higher VLT than most (lighter), and yet block more harsh light energy. The result? You get more good light to your eyes comfortably and safely. You make better, faster decisions and have less fatigue.

Frame Technology

M7 UltraTrail frames are designed in California and manufactured in Italy and Japan. They are rigorously tested by the M7 Beta Team for a bounce-free fit, resistance to extreme sweat, fog, rain, and comfort. They have been proven at the Moab 240, the Hardrock 100, and thousands of miles in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. At around 20 grams, our frames are among the lightest on the planet.

The Huntress plus minus

At 17 Grams, perhaps the lightest running sunglasses in the world. Beautiful, strong, with no-tangle nose pads. Classic aviator style, hand-crafted from titanium - about as fancy as you can get, yet also the most serious bit of runner gear that will change your experience on the trails.

Titanium Frame Technology plus minus

Our titanium frames are hand-tooled by expert craftsmen, ensuring durability for everyday use and flexibility to conform to your head's shape. Titanium is naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to corrosion, making these frames a great investment in essential flight gear that will last for years to come.

Method Seven Trail

We make specialized lenses for commercial pilots who fly west directly into the sun on repeated flights. Seriously, it's crazy, but we’ve mastered tuning lenses for specific uses.

Most of our crew are runners and mountain bikers, with one employee even completing the Moab 240—serious stuff. But the glasses they had were garbage—$25 cheapies that made us cringe. So, we thought, what if we designed a lens JUST for the trails? No one-size-fits-all trendy nonsense, but something that makes the landscape POP with depth, work in low light and handles peak sun energy. That’s the conversation we had with our engineering team in Japan. They took on the challenge and developed the Trail 26 lens.

Along the way, we realized we needed a specific type of polarization. Every polarized lens we tried was too much, killing contrast and not helping. Great for fishing, not great for running. Then we nailed it. The Trail 26 lens was born, perfect for the demands of trail running. We achieved the lowest haze rating we've tested from any lens and included all the fancy hydrophobic, anti-glare, and anti-scratch coatings. Our trail lens and frame are just as niche as the ultra runners themselves. And let's be honest—these are not normal people. We love 'em, but 240 miles in one shot in Moab, Utah...?

Amazing!

"I struggle so much with seeing clearly in low light situations. Anytime I would run into shady spots on the trail I would automatically slow down so I could see what was on the ground in front of me. These have helped so much! They are so clear and the manage to brighten up low light areas and protect on sunny areas. Absolutely worth the investment!"

Worn during a 100 miler

"I wore my glasses during a 100 miler, so maybe not the fastest running of all time, but they held up great. I loved not having to take them off when I hit patches of shade. I really felt like the polarization helped visualize the terrain better, too. Big fan. Only weird thing was that they would feel a little loose on the nose when I smiled. But nothing that pushing them back onto my nose couldn’t fix. Great product! Super happy with the glasses!"

Solid lens. Just need bright color frames now!

"The lens are great. Wore these this summer for the Transrockies Run (multi-day stage race in Colorado) and the Mammoth Trail fest and they worked great for both events and miles of trails. The lens is great because I can wear it in bright, unshaded parts and on the tree-covered areas of the trail. No need to take off the sunglasses and carry them for a bit which is what I usually do when I get to the shady trails. They do seem to “stick” better to the bridge of my nose and not bounce when I’m sweaty. When first starting out and I’m not sweaty they do bounce just a little bit. I’m not sure if that’s a me thing (cause it happens with other sunglasses too), or others have that issue as well. I would love some brighter frames though. Since I’m brown and I always wear a visor running these sunglasses get a little lost in photos. I know that’s a dumb reason for not loving them since their functionality is solid, but I’m a bright color girl. Keep the lens, but if you could make the frames in a bright white, turquoise, or red…that would be AMAZING!"

Cool

"Finally wore my glasses. Was waiting for trail run but ticks out of control so used on road runs. Hard knew they were there. No slipping, no fogging. Loved them."

Just what I needed

"My favorite sunglasses are good quality well known brand that I have worn for years. However they are too dark and the heavy wrap around design gets very hot. Kept taking them on and off during races. When I read the reviews for Method Seven one customer remarked that she forgets she is wearing them. That's what sold me on them although I was concerned about fit. I hate trying on glasses and was concerned that these probably wouldn't fit. Actually they fit great and yes I forget I am wearing them. These are excellent quality and I am very happy with the purchase."

SUPER Light!

"The glasses weigh next to nothing and do not slide down my nose. Bonus points for making running glasses that look cool and casual!"

Almost perfect

"I got these because I heard most sunglasses are over polarized and to some extent I got sick of putting my cheap sunglasses up and down on my morning runs. When I first tried on the huntress, I thought it was a game changer. I wore them driving, trail riding and working with horses and they do amazing for all those things. The thing they are designed for, however, is where my biggest problem comes in: they bounce on my face when I run! I usually run with a hat and sunglasses and I was playing “what is causing this!” On my runs. I gave them a good week to make sure I tried every combo: hat, no hat, hair tied back in different ways etc. same issue. I really want to like them but I don’t think they have any back of ear wrap hence the bounce. While I’m sad I can’t wear them trail running and that I’ll go back to my cheap frames, I do like them for driving and trail riding."
