INTERCEPTOR MACH

Pilot Sunglasses

$175.00

Description plus minus

Inspired by elite fighter aircraft, the Interceptor offers an aerodynamic, comfortable fit with headsets and helmets. All new non-polarized polycarbonate MACH lenses deliver the color, contrast, and clarity you've come to expect from Method Seven in a stealth, non-mirrored lens with dual A/R coatings and full UV protection.

Lens Technology

Method Seven develops advanced, non-polarized optical technology specifically for the visual demands of aviation. Our proprietary notch filtering selectively reduces harsh wavelengths of light while preserving useful visual information, enhancing contrast, clarity, and natural color perception. Engineered to provide full UV protection without the electronic display visibility issues associated with polarized lenses, Method Seven optics help pilots maintain a clear view of instruments, aircraft windows, and the surrounding environment.

MACH Lens Technology plus minus

MACH lenses are engineered for pilots who prefer a darker viewing experience in bright flight conditions. Their non-polarized construction supports visibility of electronic instruments and displays, while advanced optical coatings help manage reflections and maintain visual clarity. Designed for demanding aviation environments, MACH lenses provide an alternative to Method Seven's blue-flash FLT and mineral glass SKY lens technologies.

18% Visible Light Transmission plus minus

At 18% Visible Light Transmission (VLT), Method Seven lenses provide a versatile tint for a broad range of daytime flying conditions, from overcast skies to bright sunshine. Advanced notch filtering selectively reduces harsh light while preserving useful visual information, natural color perception, and contrast. This balanced light transmission makes 18% VLT a practical choice for pilots flying in varied weather, lighting conditions, and aircraft.

Frame Technology

Method Seven Pilot frames are engineered for the specific demands of aviation, combining lightweight materials, flexibility, durability, and a secure fit. Our headset-compatible designs feature ultra-thin temples that minimize pressure, help maintain headset seals, and reduce interference with flight helmets and oxygen equipment. Developed and tested with professional and general aviation pilots, each frame is purpose-built for comfort, stability, and clear communication during flight.

TR90 Frame Technology plus minus

TR90 is an advanced thermoplastic material engineered for lightweight strength, flexibility, and durability. Its resilient construction allows frames to flex under pressure while retaining their shape, providing a comfortable and secure fit. Resistant to corrosion and everyday wear, TR90 is particularly well suited for aviation, active environments, and extended use.

The Interceptor plus minus

Inspired by high-performance aviation, the Interceptor features an aerodynamic TR90 frame engineered for flexibility, stability, and comfort. Ultra-thin temples minimize pressure and help preserve headset seals, while its wraparound profile provides broad peripheral coverage. Rubberized nose pads help prevent slipping during high-G maneuvers, making the Interceptor well suited for aerobatic flying, extended flights, and pilots who demand a secure fit without pressure points.

Interceptor Mach - great choice

"Really enjoying the sunglasses"

— Anthony D. (5/5)

So far, so good…

"One trip flown with these so far. They are lightweight, fit nicely under a headset, and the lenses are clear and sharp. I’m able to see the instrumentation well while getting relief in a bright cockpit environment. Recommended."

— Michael M. (5/5)

Great

"Great sunglasses. My only recommendation is there must be some sort of rubber on its leg to avoid them falling."

— Jonathan A. (5/5)

Super Impressed!

"My entire experience with Method 7 was amazing. I accidentally put in the wrong address for my order, and when I called their customer service, they were super nice, understanding, and efficient. I was super impressed with the packaging. The sunglasses pouch has its cool fighter jet art on it, the box holding the glasses was very high quality, and they even write you a handwritten note from their team thanking you for your purchase. The sunglasses themselves are what you expect, razor-thin arms that don't leak any noise between your headphones, which I love. The build quality doesn't sacrifice sturdiness while being very flexible, and the lens has great clarity. Overall, it's my favorite pair of sunglasses, and I will definitely be buying again from you guys."

— Ryan K. (5/5)

Best by far

"Best glasses to wear flying. Work well with the ANR. Don’t get caught in my hair, light weight and comfy."

— Elizabeth (5/5)

Light weight & amazing clarity

"I already have a much older model which had been my go to for flying. After trying on the Interceptor Mach at Oshkosh, I decided to upgrade (actually purchased 2 pairs). The same or better clarity I was accustomed to with the benefit of lighter weight making them more comfortable on long flights. The ear pieces are thinner resulting in the headset ear cups fitting tighter. I would recommend these sunglasses."

— Stephen H. (5/5)

Very stylish, comfortable and effective

"I wear my Interceptors in and out of the cockpit. They're stylish enough to wear casually anywhere yet effective enough to wear while flying to prevent glare and relieve eye strain. I wish I had another pair to leave permanently in the airplane!"

— Wilbur W. (5/5)
