Lens Technology

Not all sunlight needs to be treated the same. Method Seven uses spectral filtering and polarization to manage distracting light while preserving useful visual information. Life sunglasses are designed to reduce glare and maintain natural-looking color and contrast in everyday outdoor conditions. It's a more deliberate approach to optics than simply making lenses darker.

ZEISS Light Pro Technology plus minus

SUNp lenses pair Zeiss LightPro polarization with Method Seven's light-filtering approach for glare management and natural-looking color. The lenses are designed to work more comfortably with many digital displays than some conventional polarized sunglasses, although screen visibility can vary by device and angle. A violet anti-reflective coating helps control distracting reflections. No unverified polarization percentage required.

SUNp Polymer Lens Technology plus minus

Made from lightweight, impact-resistant polycarbonate, SUNp lenses offer 100% UV protection and a durable alternative to mineral glass. The lenses use Zeiss LightPro polarization and a violet anti-reflective coating. The original specifications list a successful drop-ball test; avoid describing any lens as unbreakable or shatterproof.

Frame Technology

Method Seven Life frames pair familiar everyday silhouettes with carefully selected materials and functional fit details. Designed on the coast of Southern California, crafted, painted, and polished in Italy, and tested on the streets of Las Vegas. We call it a Coup because it looks like trouble—not the insurrection type, more like the James Dean kind.

TR90 is an advanced thermoplastic material engineered for lightweight strength, flexibility, and durability. Its resilient construction allows frames to flex under pressure while retaining their shape, providing a comfortable and secure fit. Good for Driving but Not Hiking

"These work well for driving, in that they block glare and aren't too dark. However, they add a cold-tone gray dullness to everything I see. Right now where I live in the Appalachians, autumn leaves are reaching peak color, and there is still a lot of green everywhere. Instead of preserving the vibrancy of all these bright colors the way polarized amber lenses do, these gray lenses take away the warmth and the happy 'pop' from nature's palate. If Method Seven makes polarized amber lenses in the future, sign me up - but until then I'll be looking elsewhere for good trail glasses."

Best sunglasses

"These are my new go-tos. I bought them for gardening outdoors and quickly found myself wearing them for DRIVING and for FISHING. The optical clarity and sharpness are outstanding. What makes them great for driving is that they are not overly dark, and of course the polarization cuts glare. I know some other big sunglass companies are making "high definition" glasses like these with increased clarity/contrast but I can't imagine beating this pair. Nice job, Method!"

Best Driving Glasses Ever

"If you're outside a lot, it doesn't matter if youre in the garden or on the road, these glasses are amazing. Great protection, not overly dark, but with amazing color rendition. The lenses on these are better than my (Ban Ray's) and have become my primary glasses. Landscapes are amazing and these glasses allow you to see fall colors like nothing I have ever imagined before."
